Born in San Luis Obispo, CA, in 1963 while his father was serving overseas in the Army, Ted had the opportunity to live in several states across the country before spending six years in Germany. After his father’s retirement, his family made the journey from Virginia to California, eventually settling in Three Rivers, CA. He attended Woodlake High School before spending a year at the College of the Sequoias and later transferring to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Management in 1987.
After graduation, Ted began his career in real estate and property management before transitioning into the restaurant industry, where he owned and operated The Rib Line in San Luis Obispo until 1999. In 2000, he moved back to Visalia to join Dean Witter, working alongside his father. Over the past 25 years, he has specialized in financial planning and portfolio management, helping clients navigate their financial futures, and in 2025, Ted partnered with Peter to found Oak Hill Wealth Strategies. Now, as an independent wealth advisor, Ted looks forward to the freedom, support, and opportunities that come with serving clients on his own terms.
Outside of work, Ted enjoys snow skiing, playing golf, and flying as an instrument-rated private pilot.
